We are thrilled to announce that Jamie Eastman will be taking on our new Creative Industries Partnership Manager role. We asked Jamie what he is going to be working on.
“Hi everyone. I’m delighted to be undertaking this role for CAMERA. It’s timed to map to KPI’s for the final year of the Bristol and Bath Creative R&D programme that CAMERA’s a delivery partner on. Other partners include the Watershed in Bristol, the Centre for Cultural and Creative Industries (Bath Spa), Bristol Vision Institute (Uni of Bristol), the Creative Economies Lab (UWE) and our colleagues at The CREATE Lab at University of Bath.
Whilst working with our Studio Team to collaborate with creative industry SMEs and individuals sponsored to take up innovation by the Bristol and Bath Creative R&D programme, I’ll also be progressing one or two projects that address Bristol and Bath Creative R&D’s goals in Understanding Audiences – in virtual and mixed reality settings. For instance co-ordinating studio support for creatives broadcasting live performance real time into virtual environments on co-investigations with The CREATE Lab, and modelling ways that motion and facial capture can be applied. I’ll also be supporting Studio Producer Eva Martino in introducing and stepping Creative Industry companies through CAMERA’s Business Assistance Programme.
Another area of my work will be identifying potential partnerships with national and international companies to support wider research outcomes for CAMERA.
I will also be supporting the team at CAMERA in the MyWorld Bristol and Bath programme as it picks up speed in coming months, doing what I can to help colleagues ensure CAMERA is resourced appropriately and better networked with the Creative Industries as such packages are delivered.”
If you have a creative partnership in mind you’d like to develop or want to talk about identifying one please contact Jamie to discuss it further [email protected].
