CAMERA Welcomes new Research Associate
News
A warm welcome to Dr Daniela De Angeli who has joined CAMERA as a Research Associate within the Department of Computer Science. Dr De Angeli was already working within University of Bath, and will be working closely with Prof Eamonn O’Neill researching whether games have a positive influence in players’ behaviour, and if so, how they can be designed for social impact.
Dr De Angeli completed her EngD at the Centre for Digital Entertainment, here at the University of Bath.
“This is a great opportunity for me to consolidate my research in the field of digital games with a purpose. In particular, CAMERA has great experience working at a professional level with the digital entertainment industry.”
CAMERA is very pleased that Dr De Angeli has joined us, and we look forward to sharing the results of her work.
Dr De Angeli’s research interests include –
- Games as educational tools
- Game creation and game play as research method (e.g. to explore how authenticity and entertainment can coexist in contemporary museums
- to investigate how a topic is interpreted by a variety of people)
- Games to stimulate dialogue and social reflection in difficult heritage sites
