CAMERA Images of Research 2022

Yesterday we were excited to attend an exhibition celebrating the short listed entries to the University of Bath Images of Research competition 2022. CAMERA were thrilled that 3 of our researchers had entries shortlisted, including one which was highly commended in the Digital category.

Pooya Soltani’s poster ‘Offside? Removing Human error in VAR’ was highly commended by the judges in a very competitive Digital category. CAMERA Head of Studio Martin Parson’s entry ‘Digital Extras’ pulled on work from the CAMERA studio’s recent work on a WW2 film about the Dambusters, where we are creating extras using digital avatars. Karin Petrini ‘s image was shortlisted in the Health and Wellbeing category for her work on Virtual Reality for Hoarding Disorders. Huge congratulations to all 3 entries. It’s so amazing to see the research CAMERA is pushing forward being recognised in this way.

The Images of Research competition invited colleagues from across the University to submit an image and a short simple description to tell people about their research and its benefits to society. There were five different categories: Digital, Health and Wellbeing, Local, Partnerships and Sustainability.
