CAMERA Launch Event a Great Success

On 20 May 2016, CAMERA Research Students and Staff were joined by nearly 100 guests from industry, academia and local government bodies to mark the official opening of the Centre. The University of Bath’s Pro Vice Chancellor (Research), Professor Jonathan Knight, welcomed guests before CAMERA Director, Dr Darren Cosker outlined the structure of the day and gave his overview of CAMERA.

The audience enjoyed a series of short talks from various CAMERA academics and industrial partners including Dan Ring of The Foundry, Colin Davidson of The Imaginarium Studios, and Simon Luck from BMT. The talks were followed by a tour of the CAMERA studio, where guests had the opportunity to view the motion capture equipment available at the Centre.
