CAMERA Head of Studio will be describing our beautiful work with REWIND for The Welsh National Opera on Friday 26th October as part of the Bath Digital Festival.
Martin Parsons faced some unusual challenges in capturing Soprano Karah Son’s performance. REWIND have won multiple awards for the captivating immersive VR experience Magic Butterfly, which toured with the WNO in 2017/2018, and welcomed over 10,000 visitors.
Greg Furber, VR Director, REWIND. said “CAMERA was the perfect team to partner with on the creation of the Madam Butterfly VR experience. Their assistance solving the performances unique challenges was invaluable and helped us make a captivating VR experience that allows us to bring a classic performance from the stage into the virtual world exploring a staging of Madam Butterfly that isn’t possible in any other medium.”
The Bath Digital Festival brings people and technology together. It allows everyone to explore the thriving digital scene here in Bath and get hands on experience with the latest projects. Each year it’s run by a team of volunteers, overseen by the Bath Digital Festival CIC, and supported by an array of fantastic sponsors. Whether you fancy trying your hand at coding, joining an interactive workshops or just want to get your hands on the latest tech, there will be plenty for everyone to take part in and enjoy.
