60-minute Photogrammetry and Volumetric capture study

We are recruiting 25 people to participate in a dataset creation project using our volumetric and photogrammetry capture systems that will take around 60minutes. This initiative will contribute to ongoing research and development in digital human representation.  The research is part of MyWorld project.

Unfortunately, you might not be able to participate if:

  • You are below the age of 18.
  • You have a visual impairment or have low uncorrected vision.
  • You have severe simulation sickness or have limited mobility.
  • You have ever suffered from epilepsy, have family suffer from epilepsy, recurrent fainting spells or febrile convulsions in infancy.
  • You have had any neurosurgical procedure (including eye surgery), a heart pacemaker, cochlear, medical pump or surgical clips.
  • You are pregnant, have suffered from any neurological or psychiatric conditions.

Project Details

  • Participants will undergo full-body and facial capture using our volumetric and photogrammetry capture systems.
  • The capture process will involve simple movements and static poses to ensure a diverse dataset.
  • Sessions will be conducted under controlled conditions to maintain consistency and quality.

Requirements

We will measure the height and weight of participants.

How to Apply

Interested students can register by emailing Rebekah Hole, [email protected].

More details on scheduling, participation and payments will be provided upon selection.

Capture session will take place in February 2026

Please note if you take part, we would require your consent to your data being published in research papers and used in research presentations. In this context the data would include scans of you with face recognisable, but the dataset will not be released. Data usage will be governed by UK law.
