A Virtual Pig

One cold December evening we were on a pig farm with an array of cameras, a very large, very disgruntled pig, a bag of polystyrene balls and a glue gun. A piece of research, for a film project, had led us here. The film never materialised, but the pig did appear virtually, multiplied and running amok in an art gallery.

Find out how optical motion-capture works, the building of a pig avatar and its journey into mixed reality at Martin Parsons’ Pint of Science talk tonight at 21:00 streaming live on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/user/PintofScience
